Project Automation Engineer

Automation engineer responsible for improving and future-proofing our installations and automation systems. You initiate projects, perform technical upgrades and ensure our production lines become smarter, safer and more efficient. You will develop and implement improvements to installations and automation systems, oversee automation and investment projects from idea to delivery, create project plans and monitor progress, quality and budget. You will collaborate with suppliers, contractors and internal departments, analyze complex faults and resolve structural problems, research new technologies and translate them into practical applications, ensure proper documentation, work instructions and certifications, and contribute to a safe, reliable, and future-proof production environment. The role involves switching between the shop floor, project teams and external suppliers, with a high degree of freedom to initiate and implement improvements, and tackling challenging technical questions within industrial automation.
