A permanent position for an EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER is open at Kaakonpojan Daycare. Kaakonpojan Daycare is located in connection with Kaakkuri School, with good transport links. Our daycare has five children's groups and is surrounded by great services and diverse nature that enrich our activities: a library, forests, playgrounds, a sports field, ski tracks, and a school. The cornerstones of our daycare's activities are the "four Ls": play (leikki), exercise (liikunta), reading (lukeminen), and singing (laulaminen). Key focus areas for the coming years are the development of inclusion, play, and outdoor pedagogy. We are participating in the "Liikuttavat Lapset" (Active Children) project. At the start of the employment, the early childhood education teacher's position will be in the 5-6-year-old group. The teacher is responsible for the planning, evaluation, and development of early childhood education and pre-primary education together with another early childhood education teacher and the rest of the team. Close cooperation with the special education teacher and cooperation between pre-primary and primary education are essential parts of the work. The qualification requirement for an early childhood education teacher is the eligibility according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018 26§), taking into account applicants according to the transitional provision for personnel (75§) of the Early Childhood Education Act 540/2018. A Bachelor of Education degree must include studies providing professional readiness for early childhood education tasks, or a university of applied sciences degree in social services and health with at least 60 ECTS credits specializing in early childhood education and social pedagogy. Pre-primary education qualification, understanding of play as a working method, knowledge of inclusion and positive pedagogy, and a development-oriented approach to work are considered advantages. The position-specific salary for the early childhood education teacher ranges from €2,929.39 to €3,042.60, based on the level salary system and levels of expertise and responsibility. The actual salary consists of the position-specific salary and any other level-based additions according to OVTES. The selected person must present a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Disclosure of Criminal Records of Persons Working with Children (504/2002) before accepting the position. According to Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act, the employer is responsible for requiring a reliable statement from the employee and trainee/student before starting work that they do not suffer from respiratory tuberculosis. The statement is made before the employment contract is signed. A six-month probationary period is used in the position.
