The Finlands Ferry Traffic group is a state-owned shipping company responsible for connection vessel, ferry and cable ferry traffic on a total of 50 routes in Finland. What does your role involve? As a technical inspector, you are responsible for the maintenance and repair of designated ships, dockings and cost monitoring within established budgets. Your work focuses on the careful planning and coordination of preventive maintenance measures in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders. To succeed in the role, you also need the ability to react quickly and handle acute repairs effectively in changing situations. The work requires mobility and readiness to travel to ships within your area of responsibility in Maritime Finland. What do we expect from you? - Suitable technical education (e.g. ship electrical engineer, master mechanic) - Good understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering – we especially value knowledge of electrical engineering in the context of modern ship technology - Ability to perform varying and versatile tasks - Good stress tolerance and problem-solving skills - Independent and planned way of working - Good interaction and cooperation skills In addition, it is considered an advantage if you have experience of round-the-clock maintenance and repair work and an understanding of preventive maintenance. We value interest in technological development and a willingness to learn new things. A holistic view of costs, where you take into account the life cycle costs of the equipment, is also an advantage. Knowledge of Swedish and English is useful in the role. What do we offer you?
