Company: Scan Global Logistics (Finland) Oy Location: Vantaa Start date: ASAP Employment type: Full-time, permanent contract Job type: Direct recruitment Other: Possibility for remote work Job Description: As a freight forwarder, you are responsible for coordinating import and export air freight shipments and interacting smoothly with customers, airlines, and other partners. In the role, you will also participate in sea freight tasks and collaborate across different transport modes. You will become part of an eight-person operational team, working closely with other forwarders. We Offer: - A permanent position in a growing international logistics company - Opportunity to expand expertise in other transport modes - Support from an expert community - Flexible hybrid work model and flexible working hours Tasks: The task includes diverse operational air freight forwarding tasks, including both export and import operations, customer service, and documentation management. - Coordination of air freight import and export shipments - Planning and monitoring of shipments - Communication with airlines, partners, and stakeholders - Preparation of transport documents and customs clearances - Customer service and real-time tracking of shipments - Handling of DGR shipments and related documentation - Cooperation with the operational team and sales to ensure service quality - Management and resolution of logistics chain exceptions - Participation in the operational activities of other transport modes if necessary We are Looking For: We hope you are an experienced freight forwarding professional who enjoys diverse work and wants to help grow the business. In addition to these qualities, we expect: - Several years of experience in air freight forwarding - Experience specifically in air freight imports and preferably exports - Understanding of international logistics and forwarding processes - Willingness to learn various ERP and reporting systems. A new operational information system will be implemented in 2026/2027. - Fluent Finnish and English language skills Considered an advantage: - Experience in sea or road transport forwarding - Valid DGR training (dangerous goods by air) - TVO qualification or experience in air freight export processes - Other language skills in addition to Finnish and English To succeed in the role, you are: - Supportive - Stress-tolerant - Systematic - Eager to learn NOTE! The selected person will undergo a brief security clearance. Additionally, the position may require meeting aviation industry security requirements.
