The municipal technical services of the City of Jämsä are seeking a logger-arborist or a person with equivalent knowledge and skills for a permanent employment relationship. The duties of the logger include felling trees in parks, urban forests, green areas, street areas, and trail networks, as well as transporting trees to the city's wood stacking sites. The work is relatively independent, so performing the tasks requires problem-solving skills, initiative, and above all, responsibility. The work is primarily outdoor work year-round, and tasks are also located near residential and street areas, where adherence to safe working methods is emphasized. Eligibility requirements for the position include previous experience working as a logger; arborist training is considered an advantage. Additionally, we require the ability to use a tractor-trailer combination and a loader/forest trailer. Performing the duties requires a B-class driver's license, good physical condition, and proficiency in the Finnish language. Possible occupational safety and road safety cards, basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, email, etc.), and the ability to use electronic map programs are considered an advantage. We offer you an independent and versatile job as well as an encouraging work community. Work begins as agreed as soon as possible. The basic salary for the position is €2,640.87/month. Remuneration is determined according to the official and collective agreement (TS) for municipal technical staff. The position is subject to a 6-month probationary period. Jämsä is a smoke-free workplace. Employees will participate in the City of Jämsä's occupational health care pre-employment check-up if necessary.
