Social Worker, come join us in ensuring the inclusion and human rights of persons with disabilities! Disability social work consists of permanent social workers, social guides, and leading social workers. Additionally, social work processes are supported by an office secretary team. Two permanent positions are available for LUVN's regional teams. One position is based in Lohja and Espoo, and the other in Kirkkonummi, Raseborg, Inkoo, Siuntio, and Hanko. The duties of the social worker include, among other things, home visits and network negotiations, preparing service need assessments and client plans, and making service decisions. We grant services and support measures based on the Act on Informal Care Allowance, the Social Care Act, and the Disability Services Act. Disability social work is versatile, varied, and interesting, allowing the social worker to utilize their expertise broadly. If you enjoy coordinating services and service entities for clients, this job is for you. Work is carried out with the client and their immediate network, as well as other family and social service and healthcare providers. Support is available through weekly team meetings from your own team and experienced supervisors. Additionally, our entire work community helps and supports one another. We have a new Disability Services Act starting 1.1.2025. You will get to participate in applying the new law in practice and plan and develop new client work methods and service processes together with the work community. The work requires flexibility, an independent, solution-oriented, and development-positive approach, and good interaction skills. In disability social work, you as a social worker act with official authority, which entails the use of administrative discretion. In your work, you will need good oral and written skills in either Finnish or Swedish, as well as satisfactory proficiency in the other language. We visit clients' homes and other operating environments, and therefore performing the work requires a driver's license. Previous experience in disability social work is considered an advantage. Eligibility requirements: Qualification in accordance with Section 7 of the Act on Social Care Professionals (817/2015). Those selected for the position/employment contract will be randomly asked for a drug test in accordance with the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county's substance abuse program.
