About the role

Courage · Commitment · Trust · Impact · Responsibility. At SOS-Lapsikylä we boldly champion children’s rights. Our goal is that every child and young person receives the support they need to grow to their full potential. Join us in meaningful and impactful work. We are seeking an aftercare coordinator for the Mummun ja vaarin tupa activity in the Western Uusimaa region. Mummun ja vaarin tuvat are low-threshold meeting places for families and volunteers and older adults. The meetings take place on weekday evenings in three municipalities ( Lohja, Karkkila, Vihti ) as part of our Well-being of Parents (ESR+) project. The job is fixed-term until 30 June 2027 with possible extension to April 2028. The coordinator’s work time is about 10 hours/week (approx 40 hours/month, 30% of full-time), mainly in the evenings: the Western Uusimaa meeting places are currently arranged on Wednesdays at 16:00 and 19:30. The role includes planning the meeting-place activities at the start of the contract, preparing the clubs, meeting families and guiding volunteers at sheds and events in the area, and tidying rooms. Since warm meals are a central part of the evening, the job also involves shopping and cooking. Work is done with a paired family partner. The coordinator also participates in team meetings.
