Vantaa City is seeking an active and courageous School Assistant for special education for disabled students at Ilola School. The role involves supporting and assisting students in all daily activities, including washing, dining, school transport, and potential care procedures. The work is physically demanding and requires a willingness to work with children. The position requires the ability to communicate using alternative methods, such as sign language and various communication aids. Close cooperation with guardians and rehabilitation parties is essential. The assistant is part of a multidisciplinary team supporting students' growth, development, and learning. Work shifts are on weekdays between 7:15 and 16:15, and work is also performed during school holidays in holiday activities. Ilola School is a diverse primary school (grades 1-5) emphasizing respect, safety, cooperation, and positivity. Requirements include a vocational qualification in education and guidance, good Finnish language skills, and strong interaction and teamwork skills. Experience working with disabled children is considered an advantage.
