We are seeking a special education teacher for small-group instruction, primary placement at Puolalan school. The position is fixed-term from 1 September 2026 to 31 July 2027. Puolalan school is located in Turku city center and serves as a comprehensive school with about 940 pupils. In addition to local classes, there are English, German and Russian language classes and music classes. As a special education teacher you are an essential part of our flexible and versatile support for learning. We value collaboration, a supportive pedagogical attitude, the ability to meet students individually, and an active and independent work approach. Your work includes planning and implementing support for learning and schooling. In addition to group support you will also support pupils who need individual support. If needed you may provide instruction to pupils who need support for more than half of the subject's weekly hours. Your duties include special pedagogical consultation realized in joint discussions and co-teaching by modeling and guiding. This role offers exceptional opportunities to actively influence the city’s special education.”
