The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of SENBIOSIS and support broader programme portfolio coordination and resource mobilization within the UNDP Solomon Islands Office. The role contributes to achieving national climate and development priorities, strengthening partnerships with government and stakeholders, and identifying funding opportunities. The position involves work in remote and rural areas, requiring coordination with diverse stakeholders including local communities, government institutions, development partners, and donors. Duties and Responsibilities include: project leadership, management, and delivery; team supervision and performance management; operational, financial, procurement, and risk oversight; monitoring, reporting, and quality assurance; strategic coordination, partnerships, representation and knowledge management; portfolio approach, strategic analysis, and resource mobilization; policy support and strategic advisory to national counterparts. Required Skills and Experience cover education (master’s degree or bachelor’s with experience), minimum years of relevant work experience (2 years with master’s, 4 with bachelor’s), and capabilities in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and engaging with government, UN agencies, civil society, private sector and communities. Desirable criteria emphasize gender equality, UNDP experience, policy development, and extensive fieldwork in remote areas. Required Language(s) include fluency in English; knowledge of additional UN languages is an asset.

Responsibilities
- Project Leadership, Management, and Delivery: Provide overall leadership and day-to-day managerial oversight of project implementation; Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of activities in accordance with approved work plans, budgets, and expected results; Coordinate with technical experts for strategic direction and adaptive management across the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Engineering, Economics, Agriculture, International Development, Environment, Social Sciences or related field is required, or a first-level university degree in the above fields with two additional years of qualifying experience to be considered in lieu of the advanced degree.
