Marine Diesel Finland Oy is a company established in 1992 that maintains, repairs and installs ship engines, propulsion systems, engine-room components and deck machinery globally. Marine Diesel Finland belongs to the international Wihuri conglomerate, with turnover of €2.3 billion and about 5700 employees globally. Marine Diesel Finland Oy is a subsidiary of Wihuri Oy Teknisen Kaupan. We are seeking a new CEO (Lietoa) as the current CEO moves to new challenges within Wihuri. In this role you will be responsible for the entire business of Marine Diesel Finland Oy – strategy, results and continuous development. You will steer the company’s growth and success and ensure competitiveness in the future. You have a strong vision of business leadership with experience in financial metrics, sales development, customer experience and renewal of service concepts – also creating new business opportunities. You will lead a 40-strong organization in an international operating environment. You will engage and lead people with a positive, inspiring and solutions-focused approach and mindset, uniting people to common goals. You will also be active in sales and customer work: building and deepening long-term customer relationships and driving business forward. You will be a member of Wihuri Teknisen Kaupan management team, reporting to Marine Diesel Finland Oy’s board chairman. We expect from you: evidence of goal-oriented and results-driven business and sales leadership; experience in the maritime industry (e.g., ship engines and propulsion engineering, shipping companies, shipyards); skills in financial metrics and strong contract skills; customer-centric thinking and ability to operate in an international work environment; ability and willingness to lead people by coaching, motivating and achieving results; excellent negotiation, collaboration and communication skills; fluency in Finnish and English; other languages are an asset; willingness to travel.
