School Assistant

In addition to being responsible for after-school activities, the duties of the school assistant include the daily guidance and care of children, supervision of snack breaks, assisting with homework as needed, and cooperating with parents and school staff. The role also includes guiding students during lessons. Särkijärvi School operates in an idyllic rural environment. There are approximately 40 students in the whole school, and the after-school activities primarily serve 1st and 2nd grade students. We value experience working with children and youth, good cooperation and interaction skills, and responsibility. The work is very independent. The position is part-time with working hours of 28 hours/week. The position-specific salary is determined according to KVTES. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Section 3 of the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002).
