About the role

The South Ostrobothnia wellbeing services county produces its regional emergency care services as its own operation. Our unit consists of approximately 200 paramedics, 23 ambulances, and a field leadership unit. We perform approximately 40,000 emergency care missions annually. We are now looking for a motivated and innovative field lead for a permanent position. Job Description Operational Management: During your shift, you will serve as the operational supervisor for paramedics, ensuring high-quality and patient-safe emergency care. Immediate Supervision: The role includes immediate supervisory duties for the emergency care area as needed, in collaboration with the emergency care ward manager. Training Responsibility: The position includes a separate training obligation. Working Hours: Two-shift work in 12-hour shifts. In the emergency care situation center, you will work with a partner. Eligibility Requirements The field lead of emergency care services must be a paramedic (AMK) or a licensed registered nurse as defined in the Act on Health Care Professionals who has completed a nursing-level emergency care specialization of at least 30 ECTS credits in cooperation with a university of applied sciences that has an emergency care degree program according to the decision of the Ministry of Education and Culture. Additionally, the field lead must have sufficient administrative and operational expertise in emergency care and the experience required for the position. Transitional provisions according to Section 11 of the Emergency Care Decree are taken into account. Additional training in operational leadership of emergency care (30 ECTS) is considered an advantage. Furthermore, we require a C1 class driving license, practical experience with the TUVE and KEJO field systems, and fluent proficiency in other necessary information systems in use. Up-to-date experience in emergency care situation center work and good knowledge of the region and stakeholders are required. What we expect from you? Good teamwork skills and flexibility. Ability to handle pressure and rapidly changing situations. Interest in developing the profession and regional emergency care services. Start date: by agreement. The terms of employment and remuneration are determined according to the current SOTE agreement, with a position-specific salary at the start of employment of 3833.50 €/month. A probationary period applies. An acceptable medical certificate must be presented before assuming the position. With the applicant's consent, a brief personnel security clearance will be conducted for the selected person (Security Clearance Act 726/2014). The selected person may be required to provide a drug test result. A personal assessment may be conducted for some applicants. HYVAEP is a nicotine-free workplace. The position requires vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a report on respiratory tuberculosis according to Section 55. Job interviews will be held in week 35.
