We are seeking a Work Life Professor to strengthen growth, commercialization and customer-driven value creation through teaching, research and industry collaboration. The role requires a broad understanding of marketing, customer-centric business and related commercialization and growth questions, and the ability to combine practical business experience, research-oriented thinking and impactful collaboration with companies. The position addresses Finland's economic growth challenges, including slow growth, uncertainty in markets, and the need for internationally scalable companies. The task is to be carried out in close cooperation with the Department of Management and Economics and the School of Economics. Tasks include planning and delivering growth, commercialization and customer-oriented business education; promoting new research findings, especially on growth strategies, customer value creation, marketing and commercialization processes and business model development; developing work-life oriented pedagogical solutions such as case teaching, company projects, guest lectures and mentoring; strengthening students’ work-life readiness, entrepreneurship skills and business thinking; building and leveraging company and stakeholder networks in teaching, research and societal engagement; participating in continuing education services; increasing the department’s visibility and societal impact through expert tasks, seminars, company collaboration and public discourse. Requirements include a suitable doctoral degree or exceptionally high-level expertise, significant achievements in business life, public sector or third sector, extensive experience in business, excellent Finnish and English language skills and strong presentation skills. Knowledge of marketing strategy leadership and proven track record of building networks is an advantage. We offer a fixed-term appointment for three years starting 1.11.2026 or as agreed, a 40% part-time arrangement, and a starting salary around 6,500 EUR/month for full-time.
