We are looking for a skilled and motivated Confectioner to prepare a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and confectionery products. The position focuses especially on preparing traditional Middle Eastern pastries and desserts, including baklava, kunafa/knafeh, maamoul, basbousa, and other similar products. Main duties include: Preparing Middle Eastern pastries and sweets from start to finish; Making baklava, kunafa, and other specialty products; Preparing doughs, fillings, syrups, creams, and decorations; Preparing and decorating cakes, pastries, and other confectionery products; Ensuring consistent product quality, taste, and presentation; Proper handling and storage of ingredients; Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the work area. The applicant must have either previous work experience in preparing Middle Eastern pastries and confectionery products or a certificate/diploma from a relevant specialized course or training programme demonstrating sufficient professional skills in the preparation of these products. The applicant should be able to independently prepare products such as baklava, kunafa/knafeh, and other similar Middle Eastern bakery and confectionery products.
