The duties of a social worker include counseling, guidance, and psychosocial support for clients in various life situations. The work is planned and goal-oriented. The social worker supports people in finding and utilizing necessary support networks. They are flexibly present wherever their clients need help. The work involves multidisciplinary network work and decision-making regarding social services and supplementary/preventive income support. The social worker operates with a socially rehabilitative approach using various individual and group work methods, for example, to support the client's daily life and financial management. Adult social work has profiled itself as an active developer of services. We have specifically developed social rehabilitation, supported housing services based on the "Housing First" principle, structural social work, and community social work. Our service range includes, among others, social credit, intermediate rental, and brokerage housing services. We offer you the opportunity to learn new things and develop your skills. In Kajaani's adult social work, you will participate in developing social work tailored to the residents and influence the promotion of well-being and health through structural social work. We provide comprehensive internal training, group supervision, and two wellness days per year. In the Kainuu wellbeing services county, we follow flexible sliding working hours suitable for balancing home and work life. You also have the possibility of remote work approximately one day per week. Adult social work utilizes an induction plan and comprehensive work instructions. We require a self-motivated and flexible working style, good organizational skills, good interaction skills, and a developing and positive approach to work. The qualification requirement for a social worker is a higher education degree suitable for the social field and legalization in accordance with the Act on Social Care Professionals (817/2015, sections 3, 8, and 32). The work requires movement, so a driver's license is essential, as well as the possibility of using one's own car if necessary. We value experience in working with people in difficult life situations and expertise in various social rehabilitation methods. Applications are accepted via Kuntarekry. Probationary period 2 months.
