The role involves maintenance of patient care instruments and devices used in examinations and treatments, including sterilization-focused tasks in a multidisciplinary team at Meilahti Instrument Sterilization Center. The center services instruments for various specialties including transplant surgery and orthopedics, with infection control as a core part of operations. The position is full-time with three-shift work from Monday to Sunday. On-the-job training is individualized and comprehensive. Working in five teams with own responsibilities and a support from a service supervisor. We offer opportunities to develop expertise in instrument sterilization and to contribute to the unit’s development. We expect customer-service orientation, initiative, and good interaction and teamwork skills. A formal instrument sterilization qualification is required. Proficiency in Finnish (spoken and written) is essential; Swedish (spoken) is also required. The job requires vaccination according to infectious disease laws and health status clearance for working in health care units. Salary is determined by the SOTE collective agreement; base pay is 2777.91 €/month plus possible experience and other allowances. The application deadline is 24 August 2026 with interviews possibly starting earlier. We operate under a six-month probationary period.
