About the role

Join Outokumpu in Krefeld as an Industrial Mechanic / Energy Electrician (m/w/d). You will be responsible for the maintenance, monitoring and repair of our technical plants and networks for steam, hot water, process water, drinking water, compressed air and natural gas. This includes boilers for steam and hot water generation, water treatment plants and compressor systems. You will monitor the natural gas network including pressure regulation and distribution. You will coordinate and accompany maintenance and sewer cleaning measures by external service providers. Regular checks of drinking water, process water and groundwater networks and their metering equipment. Functional testing of automated systems (process water, filtration systems, lifting stations, basins for rainwater retention). Independent fault finding and fault analysis/remediation. Training and instructing new employees – you will share your expertise actively. What we require: completed technical training (e.g. Industrial Mechanic). Solid knowledge of maintenance and repair of energy and media supply systems. Experience in operating and functional testing of technical systems. Teamwork mindset and enjoyment of training new colleagues. Independent, careful and reliable work style. Willingness to perform periodic inspection and cleaning tasks (including sewer / pits).
