HUS is seeking a registered nurse for a fixed-term substitute position (study leave replacement) from August 24, 2026, to March 31, 2027, at the Eye Tumor Clinic. This unit is responsible for eye-saving treatment for eye tumor patients across all of Finland, treating conditions such as malignant uveal melanomas, intraocular metastases, and conjunctival, iris, or ciliary body tumors. The most common treatment is plaque radiotherapy, the care and early follow-up of which are centralized here. As a nurse, you will work within a multidisciplinary and committed team, managing the patient's nursing process and acting as a partner to the physician during consultations. Patient guidance is an essential part of the role. Duties include various preliminary measurements related to vision examinations and assisting in procedures. Prior experience in eye tumor nursing is not required as comprehensive orientation is provided. Flexibility and strong interaction skills are necessary for changing situations, and a customer-oriented approach and openness to development are valued. The position is based in the modern facilities of Tammisairaala and consists of day shifts.
