About the role

HUS Brain Center is seeking an experienced and development-oriented administrative chief physician for a permanent position. The task offers an excellent opportunity to lead and develop a specialized healthcare entity in Finland's leading psychiatry and neurology center of expertise. The HUS Brain Center's result area includes psychiatry and neurology specialty services and a pain management unit. Approximately 3,300 healthcare professionals work in the result area in the Uusimaa region. We are looking for an administrative chief physician for the result area's management team. In the position, you will participate in the preparation of the result area's strategy, be responsible for the progress of strategic projects, and support the development work of the units together with the chief nurse and development partner. You will cooperate with the administrative chief physicians of other result areas in inter-result area matters. You are responsible for the management of the result area's contracts. In addition, you will participate as a representative of the result area in the work of the physicians' salary group and act as a substitute for the result area director if necessary. Success in the position requires experience in project management and supervisory work. Suitable specialties for the position are psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, neurology, and neurosurgery. A Doctor of Medicine degree is considered an advantage. Language requirements: good oral and written skills in Finnish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Swedish, or good oral and written skills in Swedish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Finnish. We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health certificate regarding pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
