We are looking for a power line designer / expert for data center and industrial projects across various locations. Sweco offers comprehensive design and project management services for data center projects and is one of the largest players in Finland. Your tasks involve versatile preliminary and general planning of external power lines and electrical network connections for data centers and industrial sites. You will act as an expert in your field within a multidisciplinary design team. Your role will focus on your experience and interests, including planning of power lines and network connections, route surveys, siting, permits, authority matters, landowner relations, and stakeholder communication. You will work closely with other Sweco experts and receive support from skilled colleagues. You will collaborate not only with your own team but also across technical boundaries. Sweco’s data center projects often involve architects, MEP, structural, and infrastructure teams specializing in server rooms. Our designers work efficiently together, speeding up decision-making and enabling tight schedules. We operate across 28 locations in Finland, allowing you to choose the most suitable for your location. To succeed in this role, you need at least two years of experience in general power line planning and project execution of power lines or substations, familiarity with EN standards, and preferably experience with network connection requirements. A background in electrical engineering, energy, or environmental technology (AMK engineer / DI) is required. You should work fluently in Finnish and English. You are capable of understanding broad contexts and how project details impact the overall picture. Your insights and ability to develop new ideas support your work.
