About the role

Assistant Ward Manager for adolescent psychiatry – come build impactful nursing work for Central Uusimaa! Do you want to combine your adolescent psychiatric expertise, leadership, and development into a meaningful whole? We are looking for an assistant ward manager for the adolescent psychiatric services of Central Uusimaa for a permanent position. The work area includes the Järvenpää adolescent psychiatry day unit and the Hyvinkää and Nurmijärvi adolescent psychiatry clinics. What does the work involve? In the adolescent psychiatric services of Central Uusimaa, 13–17-year-olds who need specialized medical examination and treatment are examined and treated. The work is based on close cooperation with the young person, the family and various networks. As an assistant ward manager, you will act as a close partner to the ward manager and actively participate in the management and development of the region's adolescent psychiatric units. You will be partly responsible for work and patient safety, the quality of nursing care and supporting the well-being of staff. Your tasks include, among others: - guiding and developing care and research processes - tasks related to occupational well-being - strengthening nursing expertise - shift planning expertise if necessary - daily organization of resources - coordination of referrals - orienting new employees - participating in the development of operations and assessment of change situations - ensuring cooperation with other adolescent psychiatric units - working with different stakeholders In your work, you will be able to influence both the daily life of the staff and the quality of care received by young people. You will be supported by the ward manager and a wide network of other assistant ward managers and ward managers. What do we hope for from you? We are looking for a person who has: - experience in adolescent psychiatric nursing - interest and readiness for leadership tasks - ability to manage and organize large entities even in changing situations - excellent interaction and cooperation skills - a development-oriented approach and a positive attitude. We especially value: - education supporting leadership work - previous experience in leadership or team responsibility tasks - a desire to develop operations together with a multidisciplinary work community. We require LOVE medication permits, which can be completed at the start of employment if necessary. What do we offer you? We require vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health report on pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
