Social Worker in Early Childhood Education

As a social worker in early childhood education, you will perform significant work for the well-being of children and families! In this role, you will work in a daycare center as part of a multidisciplinary educator team and be responsible for the implementation of the children's group activities together with other professionals, particularly from the perspective of the child's well-being, inclusion, and resources. The position emphasizes educational cooperation with families as well as strengthening and supporting the participation of children and families in the coordination of services. Observation, documentation, and the continuous evaluation and development of activities are integral parts of every educator's work. Eligibility requirements are determined according to the Early Childhood Education Act (2018/540). We value strong interaction and cooperation skills, flexibility, and a positive, solution-oriented approach to work. We expect applicants to have sufficient Finnish language skills to support children's language development. In the absence of applicants meeting the eligibility requirements, non-eligible applicants may also be considered, in which case the position may be filled on a fixed-term basis.
