About the role

Would you like to work in a versatile nursing environment within emergency and observation care? The work is interesting and diverse, characterized by safe and enjoyable teamwork. Two registered nurses are being recruited for permanent positions in the Emergency Observation unit at Peijaksen Hospital. The work begins on August 31, 2026, or as agreed. The unit treats acutely ill patients from various specialties. We offer you the opportunity to expand your expertise in a work community that encourages development and cooperation. Our ward has a total of 27 patient beds, of which 13 are reserved for cardiac, intensive, or emergency patients requiring observation care, and 14 for patients requiring ward care. We are responsible for the care of acutely ill patients across several medical specialties, including surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, and pulmonary diseases. Our operations are based on high-quality patient care, responsibility, active multidisciplinary cooperation, continuous learning, and respect for human dignity. We work for the best interest of the patients and support the development of nursing expertise. The work is in three-shift rotations. About HUS Acute More than a thousand acute care professionals work daily at HUS for the best interest of the patients, serving them. We are responsible for patient transport, adult emergency departments, the Emergency Help 116117 service, primary care in the HUS area, and the national Poison Information Center. In the Acute emergency line, we treat patients in emergency and observation wards as well as emergency departments at Meilahti, Jorvi, Malmi, Peijaksen, Hyvinkää, Lohja, and Porvoo hospitals. Our goal is to serve emergency patients even more smoothly and better, based on the broad expertise of registered nurses.
