Lead AI Expert

Lead AI Expert at Istekki Oy - you will combine strong technical expertise, architectural thinking and a drive to develop AI solutions with customers. As a lead AI expert you are a trusted player in the team and a key influencer in the development of AI solutions. You will design and pilot AI solutions as a code-driven application architect and participate in development projects from requirements to architecture and implementation. You will work closely with a seasoned professional team where knowledge is shared and developed together. What we expect from you: relevant ICT education and solid prior experience as an application architect and understanding of AI development; ability to discuss complex AI ideas with customers and translate them into feasible solutions; ability to grasp technical entities and experience in demanding development and maintenance tasks and problem solving; strong communication, negotiation and collaboration skills. In addition, you should be able to lead your own work, utilize the surrounding support group and, if needed, develop and organize its work. You are familiar with several listed technologies (Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Search, Azure Blob Storage, Python, Software development, open weights large language models such as Kimi-K2.5, GLM-4.7, DeepSeek, gpt-oss, Qwen, Gemma, open-source AI technologies such as ollama, llama.cpp, transformers, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), cloud services). We value willingness to create, try and learn by doing. Experience in service-provider environments is a plus. A broad understanding of IT infrastructure and its components and systems is a plus. Details: Start: by agreement. Location: remote work possible from anywhere in Finland; offices in Kuopio, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Oulu and Espoo. A basic background check and drug testing will be conducted for the selected candidate. Salary: the salary range is 4400–5500 €/month; final salary depends on skills and experience.
