Enersense Engineering is currently seeking a Design Manager for their client in Porvoo. Work starts as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in a large-scale tank renewal project from the pre-design phase and follow the project through to implementation and commissioning. The work is initially part-time for approximately 6–8 months while the project is in the pre-design phase. After this, the scope and responsibilities of the project will increase. As a Design Manager, you will work in close cooperation with the Project Manager and be responsible for leading and coordinating multidisciplinary design work to ensure the successful progress of the project. **Tasks and Responsibilities:** - Responsible for the overall coordination of the project's design functions in cooperation with the Project Manager. - Lead and coordinate activities across different design disciplines, including civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and process design. - Define the project scope, goals, deliverables, project plans, and schedules. - Plan design resources together with the various design disciplines. - Lead the design team and be responsible for the distribution of tasks. - Support conceptual design during the preliminary investigation phase. - Work closely with the site organization to ensure smooth implementation and resolve coordination challenges between different design disciplines. - Coordinate design related to tanks, pumps, piping, valves, and associated process equipment. - Responsible for design documentation management and reporting on project progress. - Ensure that design work meets industry standards, authority requirements, and other applicable regulations. **Requirements:** - Relevant degree in engineering or Master's degree in technology. - Experience with large industrial design projects, particularly brownfield projects. - Good understanding of design processes, multidisciplinary design, and local regulations. - Experience in project planning, design management, the pre-design phase, and implementation support. - Site experience and knowledge of tanks, pumps, piping, and valves. - Excellent technical problem-solving, communication, leadership, and coordination skills. - Experience leading design teams and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure. - Proficiency in English.
