Tiered Approach In line with the commitment to safeguard capacity and support personnel already in the Organization, a majority of UNDP UNCDF/UNV vacancies are advertised using a tiered application process whereby Tier 0 is for internal staff, Tier 1 for other internal staff, Tier 2 for temporary staff, and Tier 3 or no tier for all others. The Regional Payroll Associate provides payroll services ensuring high quality, accuracy and consistency of work. Duties include advising on benefits and entitlements, overseeing payroll processes, and ensuring data integrity in General Ledgers. The role supports knowledge sharing and clustering of payroll services with HQ bureaus, and may involve remote work. Supervisory responsibilities are not applicable.

Responsibilities
- Provide payroll services
- Advise internal and external clients on Benefits and Entitlements
- Ensure timely administration of payroll and banking services
- Oversee payroll processes and data integrity
- Support knowledge sharing and training
- Collaborate with HQ bureaus on clustering and transition processes
- Post expenditures to General Ledger
- Assist with HR and Financial policies related to payroll
- Conduct workshops and training for clients and staff
Requirements
- Secondary Education is required.
- A university degree (bachelor's degree) in Business or Public Administration, or an equivalent field will be given due consideration, but it is not a requirement.
- Specialized certification in Human Resources or Finance Resources Management is an asset.
- Minimum of 7 years (with secondary education) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible HR/finance experience at the national or international level is required.
- Experience using MS-Office and spreadsheet and database packages, and experience in handling payroll systems is required.
- Experience with UN/UNDP human resources policies, rules, and regulations, and experience in their application, is required.
- There may be an option of remote arrangement.
