Freight Coordinator

Employee wellbeing, equality and equity guide our everyday work. We are now looking for a Freight Coordinator for a permanent position at our Rovaniemi site. As Freight Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning the transport of Lappset products and coordinating shipments. You will ensure our products leave for customers on time and cost-effectively. You will work closely with logistics, production planning and sales. In this role, you can influence the smooth running of our international supply chain and develop our freight and packing operations. Your tasks As Freight Coordinator, you will plan and coordinate shipments as part of Lappset’s day-to-day logistics operations. Key duties include: • Planning and coordinating road, sea and air freight. • Scheduling shipments and planning loads in advance. • Ensuring transports are on time and cost-effective. • Supporting Sales in planning and preparing freight solutions. • Working closely with production planning, logistics and other internal stakeholders. • Developing packing operations and deputising for the Packing Coordinator when needed. The role requires the ability to manage several matters at once, anticipate upcoming delivery needs and respond to changing situations. Your daily work combines structured planning, practical problem-solving and smooth collaboration across functions. What we expect from you We are looking for an organised and proactive person who enjoys a production environment and actively takes on day-to-day challenges. You will succeed by managing the bigger picture, working well with different people and wanting to improve ways of working. We expect you to have: • Experience of production processes and an understanding of how a production environment operates. • Good Excel skills and experience using enterprise resource planning systems. • Good Finnish and English skills. • An organised, careful and proactive approach to work. • Strong cooperation and communication skills. • The ability to plan, prioritise and manage several tasks at once. • A positive attitude and an interest in continuously improving ways of working. We also value knowledge of logistics and experience in transport planning, but what matters most is relevant competence, an active approach and a willingness to learn. Your workplace is in Rovaniemi. Working hours generally fall on weekdays, either 6:00–14:30 or 7:00–15:30. The position is permanent and full-time.
