Job Description
We are looking for a kitchen shift supervisor for Restaurant Aava, located in the maritime surroundings of Ruissalo. Aava's kitchen is based on simple, well-prepared food and the flavors of the archipelago. Our food philosophy follows the rhythm of the seasons and draws inspiration from local ingredients and experiential dining. We use as many domestic and seasonal raw materials as possible, and our kitchen values careful craftsmanship and respect for raw ingredients. The restaurant offers à la carte daily, and on weekend evenings, a high-quality buffet is also available alongside it. The focus of the work is on quality service and careful pre-preparation. We are seeking a person with strong expertise, especially in à la carte cuisine. Experience with both frying and boiling is a big plus. The kitchen shift supervisor is responsible for the daily operational activities of the kitchen in the absence of the head chef. The supervisor ensures the quality of operations and that the food products meet the agreed standards, recipes, and portion sizes. As a shift supervisor, you will lead the kitchen operations according to given instructions, the concept, and goals, and ensure smooth and efficient work during all shifts. You will act as a supervisor during your shift, actively participate in operational work, and ensure that the kitchen's activities are of high quality, safe, and customer-oriented. We hope you have experience in à la carte cuisine, good organizational skills and resilience under pressure in service, ability to lead a shift and support the team in daily tasks, proactive and responsible work attitude, interest in seasonal raw materials and high-quality food products.
