।Are you the next top expert for our team? We are looking for a Naval Architect specialist/project engineer for ship design from concept to sales and delivery. You will develop new innovative ship concepts in connection with sales and support new construction projects. You will keep track of all matters related to the ship's main characteristics. The general arrangement (GA) of the ship is an important part of the ship concept, and its diverse cause-and-effect relationships must be made to work. The general arrangement implements the required rules (e.g. emergency exits), the spaces required for technology and equipment, watertight compartments and steel structures must be implemented according to requirements and all this while considering the diverse needs of the shipping company and passengers. In your position, you will operate as needed from the early stage to delivery, understanding also the different tasks of the different stages. You are responsible for the ship's general arrangement with the help of other technical experts. You are also able to perform calculations and studies independently and make the correct initial guesses. As a Naval Architect specialist / project engineer: - You prepare new ship concepts and are responsible for preparing the technical tender documentation. - You negotiate with the shipyard's customers and supplier network regarding the theory and technology of the ship project. - You are responsible for coordinating the overall naval architecture in the concept, sales, design, production and delivery phases. - Your main focus is on the ship's general arrangement, but you also know the overall naval architecture and understand the mutual dependencies. - You are part of the ship project team. - You collaborate with all the shipyard's experts and also with the customer, classification society, authorities, architects and suppliers. What do we expect from you? We expect a suitable technical education (Naval Architect DI/ins) as well as knowledge and experience in different areas of ship technology, e.g. making and analyzing general arrangements, stability, hydrodynamics and ship safety are familiar topics to you. Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g. Autocad) and NAPA software is an advantage. Knowledge of ship technology and systems is also an advantage, as is an understanding of the shipyard's operating methods. To succeed in the position, you need curiosity and systematicity, good oral and written English language skills and very good cooperation, negotiation and organizing skills. You are able to work independently, but also as part of different teams, you want to take responsibility and understand things broadly.
