We are now looking for practical nurses for fixed-term employment. Welcome to Rinnekodit Nyyttipuisto! Rinnekodit Nyyttipuisto is located in Alppikylä, Helsinki, with good transport links. Nyyttipuisto is home to 22 adult clients with intellectual disabilities. The unit consists of a group home for 15 clients and seven separate apartments. Work in our unit is versatile due to the diverse client base. Group home clients need a lot of help in their everyday lives, so good basic nursing skills are required, while clients living in separate apartments need guidance and support in their daily lives. Task and its goals: As a practical nurse, you are in a key role in identifying the individual needs of clients and ensuring high-quality care. You work with a professional approach, respecting the client's right to self-determination and meeting them with respect. Your work includes basic care, medication, and a rehabilitating approach. You also support clients physically in daily activities. We provide good orientation and various trainings to ensure smooth work. We expect from you: a practical nurse's degree and Suosikki registration from the License and Supervision Authority; a social and health care professional card (Kanta certificate card) OR willingness to acquire the card during the probation period; willingness to demonstrate medication competence by completing a medication permit within four months of starting employment and regularly during employment; willingness for three-shift work; basic Finnish language skills for documentation and meeting clients; previous experience in intellectual disability work; vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act. Rinnekodit is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace, where the pre-employment check includes a check of vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act. We check the criminal record extract of the person selected for the task in the manner intended by legislation (Act on the Supervision of Social and Health Care) before concluding the employment contract. The criminal record extract must not be older than six months.
