Hi, are you interested in providing versatile care for internal medicine and surgical patients in various operating environments? Are you eager to take on new challenges and ready to work in changing work communities? We are looking for an enthusiastic and development-oriented practical nurse for a permanent position in the Substitute Pool of the Internal Medicine and Rehabilitation result unit. As a practical nurse, you will primarily work at Peijas Hospital and, if necessary, also at another hospital in our area of responsibility. The work is a two-shift system, which includes weekends. The position will be filled starting September 28, 2026, or by agreement. Our unit's task is to provide competent nursing staff to replace absences in specialized medical care wards. In addition to the surgical and medical wards, clinics, and day units of Peijas Hospital, our unit's areas of responsibility also include the internal medicine wards of Haartman and Malmi Hospitals, as well as the internal medicine ward and the demanding rehabilitation ward of Jorvi Hospital. Your workday varies depending on the unit – you will get to care for acute internal medicine patients and surgical patients, participate in the rehabilitation process, and develop your clinical skills versatilely. You are the colleague we are looking for if * in addition to a degree as a practical nurse or basic care nurse, you have registration with the Regional State Administrative Agency (Valvonta- ja lupavirasto) * experience from the hospital environment and acute nursing care * you have the ability to work in changing multidisciplinary teams and enthusiasm to develop nursing care based on evidence * you have good cooperation and interaction skills * you approach work units and teams that may change daily with flexibility and ease * you are interested in two-shift work, which includes weekend work We offer you versatile and interesting work where you have the opportunity to learn extensively about different diseases and their treatment, as well as develop your clinical knowledge and skills. Your work includes holistic patient care, including demanding medication and rehabilitation, as well as guiding and supporting patients and their relatives.
