We are looking for a Higher Education Pedagogy Intern for the Online Campus at Suomen Diakoniaopisto (SDO) for the period 15 September to 15 December 2026. Join us at SDO as we build a new pedagogical model for our Online Campus, grounded in research on online education and collaborative learning, combined with workplace relevance. The internship places you at the forefront of turning theory into practice, allowing you to contribute your knowledge and fresh perspectives. The Online Campus supports bachelor’s degrees in social and health care as well as education and guidance, and provides common studies and professional modules for campus students. The Online Campus leads SDO’s online pedagogy. During the internship you will: - learn to use artificial intelligence in diverse ways, including planning and producing learning materials and tasks, and as part of developing the pedagogical model - if you wish and with permission for research, collect data on student learning experiences for your thesis Your duties include: - participating in designing and developing the pedagogical model of online teaching with the team - designing and producing learning materials and tasks using AI - experimenting with and developing communal learning methods and practices in a online environment - joining team meetings and development discussions, bringing your own viewpoints We expect you to: - have motivation and enthusiasm to develop professional education - be familiar with pedagogical models and theories - be proficient with digital tools to support learning - be a master’s level student - have excellent interpersonal skills We offer: - salary of 1500 euros per month and terms of employment according to the private education sector collective agreement - job-specific orientation - opportunity to use your skills and strengths We foster a team culture in a national institution where your expertise is valued.
