The Municipality of Asikkala announces a vacancy to be applied for between 3.8. and 18.8.2026 by 3 PM for the following position: Substitute School Assistant for the lower secondary special education class at Vääksy Comprehensive School for the period 20.8.2026-5.6.2027 - working hours are 32.5 h/week - placement is in the VYK:nTUPA class - probation period 4 months - The Municipality of Asikkala is a smoke-free workplace. Application criteria - The applicant has a degree as a school assistant or an equivalent qualification. Qualifying degrees include, among others: morning and afternoon activity instructor, school assistant, youth and leisure instructor, practical nurse, social services professional (sosionomi), developmental disability instructor, or sports instructor. - The applicant possesses good social interaction and cooperation skills. The applicant has the desire and ability to collaborate. - The applicant is proactive in their work and has a desire to develop their own work. - The applicant is ready to help, guide, and support students' work in classroom situations and/or in appropriately sized groups separate from the rest of the class.
