Workplace Based at Head Office at Portlaoise, with travel to various sites Line Manager Service Manager Working Hours 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. Or Extended hours if required to complete the role. Main Duties • To work in a safe and effective manner protecting themselves and their colleagues and customers • Keep a safe and tidy workplace • To identify and repair machinery as directed by their line manager • Be prepared to be flexible in hours worked as the role requires • To complete task-based risk assessments and safe systems of work to ensure that hazards are identified, and the work is safely carried out • To help colleagues with their tasks when required following the safe system of work • Identify the machine they are working on by job number or serial number • Risk Assessments/Timesheets/Job Cards are part of your working day, these documents are to be completed daily • Any jobs completed on site or in the workshop are to be approved by the service manager • Due to the nature of the work, you must be prepared to stay overnight where necessary and carry a change of clothes, this also enables you to put on dry clothing. • As much of your work is on site you must be available to travel and stay away from the head office and Home at short notice • Only use equipment on which they have been trained and authorised to use • Carry out daily checks on equipment before they use it • Follow company and site rules, procedures, and policies • Ensure a high standard of housekeeping both in the workshop/site, and yard due to being seen by customers and visitors • Wear the appropriate PPE when required and take care of all issued PPE • Report any incidents or near misses • The company vehicle is for business use only • Keep the company vehicle in a tidy condition, serviced in line with manufacturers requirements and keep vehicle in a fully roadworthy condition. • Ensure regular safety checks are carried out to confirm the vehicle is safe and legal. • Ensure that rest breaks are taken and that working hours are exceedingly long. Driving is classed as working • Attend all internal H&S training.
