About the role

**Would you like to influence technical solutions and take responsibility for entire automation projects? We are looking for a Technical Project Manager for customer projects in robotics and automation systems at MTC Flextek.** MTC Flextek offers a comprehensive range of machine tools, peripheral equipment, robotics, and injection molding machines, as well as industrial services and integrated total solutions. Our goal is to create value for our customers by improving their production processes and enabling more efficient operations with modern technological solutions. We serve our customers with approximately 60 experts, and our offices are located in six different towns in Finland. We provide holistic services covering everything from project management and design to installation, training, and maintenance. Our core values are trust, customer understanding, and cooperation – these guide all our activities and help us build long-term partnerships to support our customers' success. **What would you be doing with us?** As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the holistic implementation of customer projects for robot and automation systems together with a team of experts. The role combines technical expertise and project management, and you will act as the lead technical designer in projects, ensuring that solutions meet customer needs and work in practice. At the center of your work are customer-specific production automation solutions that combine robotics, mechanics, automation, software, and integrations between different systems. Projects are often implemented around existing machines and production processes, so the ability to grasp the big picture and find functional solutions for various production environments is emphasized. In your daily work, you will lead 3–5 projects simultaneously in different stages and be responsible for their scheduling, financial monitoring, and smooth progress. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal experts, and participate in supporting sales by defining delivery contents and building long-term customer relationships. The employment is permanent and full-time, contracted with MTC Flextek. You will work primarily at our Nurmijärvi office, but we use a flexible hybrid work model that allows up to three remote work days per week. Additionally, you will visit customers across Finland. **What are we looking for?** You have at least five years of experience in technical design work, for example in automation, robotics, or mechanics, as well as experience in project work. You may have already served in a project-responsible role or are ready to take the next step in your career toward overall project responsibility. The position is well-suited, for example, for an experienced designer who wants to take more responsibility for projects while maintaining a strong technical role. Success in the position requires appropriate technical education, such as a degree in engineering or a Master's degree in technology, as well as the ability to conceptualize technical wholes and participate in the design of solutions. We value strong technical expertise, especially knowledge of automation systems and PLC skills, as well as a good understanding of mechanics and equipment systems. Our working language is Finnish, and in addition, we expect at least good English language skills. As a person, you are proactive, systematic, and solution-oriented. You enjoy collaborating with different stakeholders and operate naturally at the customer interface. You can manage several projects simultaneously and have a genuine interest in technology and a desire to understand how systems work in practice. **Why us?** This is an excellent opportunity to grow your responsibility from technical design to overall project management. You will have the support of an experienced organization and an expert team, but also the freedom to influence how projects are successfully brought to completion. With us, you will work on diverse and technically varied projects in different industrial sectors, from the machine shop industry to the manufacturing industry. Solutions are designed genuinely according to the customer's needs, so no two projects are exactly the same. Our operations are based on long-term commitment and practical decision-making. Our daily routine is clear, and things are moved forward systematically. We have a skilled and approachable team with whom you will work closely and share expertise. We support your professional development and offer the opportunity to grow in the role according to your experience and interest. **Interested?** If you are interested, we want to hear from you! Please submit your application via the link as soon as possible, but no later than August 16, 2026. We will begin interviews during the application period. The recruitment process is carried out in cooperation with Biisoni. Further information about the position can be provided by Biisoni's recruitment consultant Nea Repo, nea.repo@biisoni.fi.
