The University Veterinary Hospital is seeking CLINICAL POSTGRADUATE VETERINARIANS for its small animal hospital for the period 4.1. – 31.12.2027. Clinical postgraduate veterinarians complete an Internship program at the University Veterinary Hospital's small animal hospital. The Internship program is utilized in veterinary faculties at European and American universities and has yielded positive experiences at the University Veterinary Hospital. The Internship program begins with a comprehensive week-long orientation period. During the year, interns work under the guidance of specialized veterinarians in various units of the small animal hospital. Thanks to close cooperation with specialists in their respective fields, the intern year offers selected veterinarians the opportunity for in-depth familiarity and professional development. In addition to clinical patient work, the daily routine of our teaching hospital involves interns participating in the clinical teaching of veterinary students. Interns also participate in weekend and holiday emergency shifts at the small animal hospital, for which supplements are paid according to the general collective agreement for universities. The position requires a veterinary degree licensed in Finland, and applicants are expected to have good Finnish language skills. Why us? Further information Remuneration for the position is based on level 3 of the university salary system's demand level map for teaching and research staff. The position-specific salary is approximately €3,303.99, plus emergency shift supplements according to the university collective agreement. During the intern year, annual leave accrues at 2 days/month, and leave can be used flexibly by agreement during the year.
