Practical Nurse

We are seeking two (2) skilled and motivated practical nurse substitutes for the Wellbeing Services County of South Ostrobothnia for the period 1.9.2026 - 30.4.2027. The initial placement is within the relief staff for disability services. We need flexible and adaptable professionals for our team who can support our units during sudden and longer-term substitution needs. Working as a relief staff member is versatile and varied. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills and expand experience in different work environments. Success in the position requires flexibility, good interaction skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. We expect you to have previous work experience in the field, expertise in client work and rehabilitation, and the possibility of using your own car. Eligibility requirement: Degree of a practical nurse or a degree in accordance with the Decree on Health Care Professionals (564/1994) or the Government Decree on Social Care Professionals (153/2016). Satisfactory oral and written skills in both national languages of the country. Those with a practical nurse degree are required to be registered in both Valvira professional registers, Terhikki and Suosikki. The selected candidate must have valid vaccination protection in accordance with Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act (1227/2016). Additionally, the selected candidate must present an extract from the criminal record as intended in Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act. A probationary period will be applied.
