About the role

We are looking for a Domain Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team, working across a broad and complex landscape spanning core business systems, customer-facing applications, and integrations. This is a role for someone who enjoys working across a wide business domain, influencing both architecture and implementation, and being part of a highly skilled, technical environment. Get an idea of the role As a Domain Architect, you will be responsible for the architecture and design within a specific business domain, ensuring that systems, processes, and technologies are aligned with both business needs and enterprise-wide architectural principles. You will work closely with product teams, tech leads, and other architects to shape solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned across domains. The role combines strategic ownership with hands-on involvement, where you are expected to support teams in making the right technical decisions. In this role, you will: Define and evolve architecture within your domain, aligned with business goals and enterprise standards Translate business needs into sustainable and scalable technical solutions Establish and drive standards, frameworks, and best practices within your domain Ensure compliance with architectural principles, security requirements, and regulatory constraints Identify and mitigate risks related to scalability, security, and system dependencies Review and challenge technical solutions, and contribute to architectural governance when needed Coach and support developers, tech leads, and other architects Contribute hands-on when needed, including coding and implementation support Continuously evaluate new technologies and approaches to improve the domain Define and maintain a roadmap for how the domain evolves over time On a personal level We are looking for someone who combines technical depth with strong business understanding, and who is motivated by working in a fast-moving environment. You enjoy navigating complexity and take ownership in driving initiatives across teams. You are curious about the business context, adapt quickly to new domains and challenges, and thrive in an environment with high pace and evolving priorities. You likely have: Around 10 years of experience in software development, architecture, or similar roles Experience working as a senior architect A solid understanding of the full software stack, from frontend to backend and infrastructure Strong experience with API design and system integration Experience with streaming/ messaging systems such as Kafka, SNS, SQS, RabbitMQ or similar Experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS The ability to stay hands-on and contribute in code when needed An interest in AI and how it can be applied in modern systems It is a plus if you have: Experience from banking or financial services Experience working with Java and Spring Boot Exposure to security or regulated environment Resurs in brief At Resurs, we make everyday finances easier through innovative and customer-focused solutions.
