We are seeking a midwife for a permanent position at Helsinki University Hospital (HUS) Women’s Hospital, Department 52. The work station will initially be at Jorvi Hospital's Maternity Ward 2A-B due to the renovation of the Women’s Hospital. The renovation is expected to last three years; after that, the station will move to the Women’s Hospital. High-risk pregnancies are treated at the Women’s Hospital. Our ward cares for pregnant people and those who have given birth, newborns, and families after birth. The ward also includes a wound clinic and a postnatal clinic where we care for newborns after discharge. At Jorvi Hospital, around 5,000 births occur annually. The ward cares for mothers and newborns, and includes a postnatal clinic for newborns after discharge. Qualifications: A licensed midwife or licensed nurse with a specialization in obstetrics and gynecology. Proficiency in Finnish (spoken and written) and satisfactory or good Swedish (spoken and written) or vice versa. We require vaccination protection as per the Infectious Diseases Act for those working with customers and patients, and a health check for tuberculosis for healthcare personnel.
