About the role

Clinical Instructor for K5B – come develop expertise and the future of nursing We are seeking a clinical instructor for a permanent position in Meilahti, at the Three Hospitals ward K5B. We are looking for an enthusiastic, development-oriented, and collaborative clinical instructor who wants to help build a high-quality learning environment and strengthen the staff's expertise and professional growth. K5B is a nationally significant unit treating both surgical and internal medicine patients. The ward centralizes the care of kidney and pancreas transplant patients and living kidney donors, the treatment of transplant-related complications and rejection reactions, and demanding specialized care for nephrological patients. Patients arrive at the ward from across Finland both electively and via emergency services. The ward has 24 patient beds and a shared 10-place day unit with ward K5A. As a clinical instructor, you will play a key role in developing the unit's expertise. Your duties include coordinating the guidance of students, the orientation of new employees, and ensuring and developing the competence of nurses and practical nurses. You will work in close cooperation with the ward manager to promote evidence-based, high-quality, and safe nursing care in accordance with the HUS strategy. Additionally, you will participate in the development of nursing methods and operational processes. The position combines development work and practical nursing, as approximately 50% of the working time consists of clinical patient work. We value previous experience in clinical instructor roles, transplant patient nursing, peritoneal dialysis (PD) care, and surgical patient nursing. A suitable upper university degree and relevant experience, or a lower university degree supplemented by studies suitable for the role of clinical instructor and relevant experience, or a vocational degree in the field supplemented by studies suitable for the role of clinical instructor and relevant experience.
