We are looking for a Project Engineer Mechanics (m/f/d) for our team at Metsä Greaseproof Papers GmbH at the Düren site. You report to the Maintenance Manager. What tasks await you? - Planning, implementation as well as monitoring and control of projects in an international context - Analysis of site-related processes with regard to technology and procedures - Identification of improvement potentials and development of corresponding optimization proposals - Improvement of processes at the site in terms of efficiency, quality and costs - Support for commissioning of new plants and optimization projects - Conducting technical negotiations with suppliers - Cooperation with the regional procurement team and other areas of the company - Ensuring and optimizing cooperation with other departments and external partners What qualifications are we looking for for this activity: - A successfully completed degree with a technical focus (e.g. mechanical engineering or process engineering) - Ideally initial professional experience in a comparable role, ideally within a group environment with a matrix structure - Knowledge in the field of paper production is an advantage - Highest prioritization of occupational safety issues - Good technical understanding, ideally combined with basic production and process knowledge in paper production - An independent, result-oriented and structured-analytical way of working - A customer/team-oriented, resilient and flexible personality structure in combination with a pragmatic and solution-oriented working style - A high degree of commitment and initiative characterizes you - Confident German and English skills are required - Confident use of MS-Office, MS-Project desirable, SAP knowledge and M-Files knowledge are an advantage - Willingness to participate in the on-call service is required Career in the new era at Metsä Group We offer our employees fair remuneration with holiday pay and a 13th month's salary.
