The municipality of Simo is seeking a deputy lecturer in student guidance for basic education and upper secondary school for the period 12.8.2026–31.7.2027. Work begins at the start of the school year on 12.8.2026 or by agreement. Simo's school and upper secondary school operate in a new, pleasant school building in the municipal center of Simo. There are approximately 170 students in grades 0–9 in basic education and 46 students in upper secondary school. A total of approximately 40 staff members work in the schools. We are looking for a collaborative and development-oriented team player for our work community. We hope the student guidance counselor has good group management skills, a responsible approach to educational and teaching work, and knowledge of teaching and supporting diverse learners. Experience in student guidance roles in basic education and upper secondary school and knowledge of curricula are considered an advantage. Eligibility requirements are determined in accordance with the Decree on the Qualifications of Teaching Staff 986/1998. Original degree certificates proving eligibility are to be presented during a possible interview. The student guidance counselor has annual working hours. Remuneration is determined according to OVTES. The position-specific salary in the municipality of Simo is €4,111.17. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Act 504/2002 within 30 days of notification of the selection decision.
