About the role

The City of Helsinki is seeking a Project Manager for a fixed-term position to focus on the planning of OmaStadi projects. The role involves managing design projects for parks, waterfront areas, outdoor sports facilities, and recreation areas. The Project Manager is responsible for the progression of plans from decision-making to construction, managing schedules, stakeholder cooperation, design costs, content, quality, and implementation costs. The role requires collaboration with the sports services of the Culture and Leisure division, representing the Urban Space and Landscape Design service in implementation planning. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and comfortable interacting with various stakeholders. Requirements include a suitable higher university degree complemented by a good understanding of construction economics. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree (AMK) with extensive and versatile relevant work experience is acceptable. Suitable degrees include landscape architecture, forestry, horticulture, or engineering. Fluency in Finnish is required. Experience in waterfront structure design and understanding of BIM-based design are considered advantages.
