Forklift Driver / Operator for forestry product handling in Vainikkala We are seeking an experienced forklift driver/operator for our client to handle and load forestry industry products in Vainikkala. The work takes place at a logistics site in Vainikkala, where forestry industry roll products are handled in particular. We are looking for someone who already has experience operating forklifts. Experience handling paper or forestry industry rolls and loading rail wagons is particularly valuable for the role. Job description: The duties consist of handling, moving and loading forestry industry products. These include roll products, and rail wagons are loaded from the side. The work uses different forklifts, including a 5,000 kg forklift, a 3,000 kg forklift with paper clamps, a standard 2,000 kg fork truck, and a Linde forklift with a two-pedal driving system. What we expect from you: - Good, confident forklift-driving skills - Previous experience in industrial, warehouse or logistics work - Readiness to work independently and safely - Flexibility to accommodate changing workloads - Your own car, as reaching the workplace practically requires your own transport Previous experience handling paper or forestry industry rolls, using a clamp truck and loading rail wagons is considered a particular advantage. Working hours and employment: Initially, work is estimated at about 2–3 days per week, but the workload varies according to operations and there may sometimes be more work. Working hours are 6–22, with 8–16 being the most common schedule. Workplace: Vainikkala, about 20 km from Lappeenranta. Collective agreement: AKT / port and forwarding sector collective agreement.
