About the role

Nordnet started 30 years ago with the aim of democratizing saving and investing. We have now grown into the leading digital platform for saving and investing in the Nordics. Through innovation, simplicity, and transparency, we challenge traditional structures and give private savers access to the same information, tools, and service as professional investors. We are now looking for you who are a student and want to work extra evening hours as an administrator in our Securities Brokerage Operations department. The group has a broad area of responsibility within post-trade, an important function to ensure a secure, efficient, and well-functioning handling of securities after trading. The tasks include operational back-office work with a focus on securities administration and financial flow management. The role gives you a unique opportunity to broaden your knowledge of the business flow and the finance industry. You will therefore have a solid foundation to continue your career in other areas of finance. About the role We are looking for someone who wants to work at least one evening a week and also step in and help during the day when needed and during holiday periods. The evening shift is between 15:00 and 23:00 on weekday evenings. You work closely with Clearing & Settlement but sit mostly independently as the shift extends beyond ordinary working hours. Your tasks - Clearing for securities and derivatives on several markets - Registration of completed trades in the back-office system (Abasec) - Allocation of trades after receiving instructions from our customers/brokers - Transfer of securities - Currency exchanges - Updating customer closures in the system - Handling currency exposure Your profile and background You are a student, preferably in economics/finance, and want a rewarding job alongside your studies that gives you a foot in the door of the financial market. You have previous experience of administrative tasks and generally good knowledge of the Office package, primarily Excel. Your knowledge of Swedish is excellent and you are comfortable in English in both speech and writing. It is an advantage if you have an interest in the stock market. As a person, you are thorough, structured, responsible, and enjoy working independently. You are quick to learn and have a logical way of thinking. You handle your tasks in a proactive and structured way. You handle the variation of higher workload and less intensive periods well. What we offer you With us, you have the opportunity to work in a Nordic environment with a focus on innovation, product development, and technology. We accelerate, renew ourselves, and build the best platform for saving and investing. Our ambitions are high, and you will be part of a fast-paced and challenging journey with a wonderful team of sharp and committed colleagues. There is great development potential and opportunities to be part of the journey toward becoming the first choice among Nordic savers.
