Esperi Care Home Vahtero provides a safe home for elderly people in need of 24-hour service housing. We have 32 resident places. Professional staff specializing in the care and guidance of elderly people work in our care home. Residents are encouraged to participate in the daily chores of the care home, togetherness and hobby activities. Vahtero is located in the quiet Vahteromäki area, right next to the services of Kouvola. As a Gerontologist, you will work in a responsible and versatile job where the focus is primarily on the resident's well-being and the meaningfulness of everyday life. You will work in close cooperation with the rest of the care home team and relatives, support residents' functional capacity and plan and implement daily activities taking into account individual needs. You will act as an expert in your field, participate in the assessment of residents' situations and promote a rehabilitative approach in various everyday situations. In your position, you will be able to influence daily activities, support residents' functional capacity and create an everyday life that is individually tailored to them. Your duties also include participation in care work. We are looking for a new colleague for a permanent and full-time employment relationship. The work is 2-shift work including morning and evening shifts. We will agree on the starting date with you, but we hope that you can start as soon as possible. Salary: We follow the private social services sector collective agreement. The base salary for a gerontologist, depending on experience increments, is according to salary class G24D 2811.09 € - 3071.09 € (starting 1.9.2026).
