Volunteer for Joulupatavahdiksi

We are seeking volunteers for Joulupata collection in Tampere for December 15–23. This is a voluntary unpaid role that you can participate in according to your schedule, even for a single shift. Joulupata is a Finnish Christmas tradition for over 120 years. Each euro dropped into the pot helps residents for whom Christmas is financially or otherwise difficult. The proceeds are used to provide Christmas relief and support the station’s aid work throughout the year. The pot does not operate without people beside it. We need you. What the Christmas Pot Guard does: stand by the pot during the agreed shift; greet donors with a merry Christmas, thank them, and explain how the collection funds are used if needed; take care of the pot and keep the collection site tidy during the shift. No cash handling is required. Donations can also be made via MobilePay. Where and when: Collection points in central Tampere and Lielahden; Collection period: 15–23 December; Shifts: one or two hours, from 9:00 to 20:00. You choose when and how often you participate. Even a single shift is valuable help. You may come alone, with a friend, or with a group (colleagues, hobby groups, or family). Who we want to join: No experience needed.
