About the role

We are looking for an early childhood education teacher for the Metsäpuput group (children aged 1-3) at Kyyhkyspuisto Day Care. Kyyhkyspuisto Day Care is a small early childhood education unit in North Leppävaara. The day care has 4 groups operating in two separate buildings. Two groups are for 1-3-year-olds and two for 3-5-year-olds. The teams collaborate closely. The buildings are connected by a natural and very spacious outdoor play area. The indoor spaces are cozy, inspiring for learning, and enable diverse small-group activities, play, and movement. The learning environment can be adapted to the different and changing needs of the groups. Leppävaara sports park, the library, and other city center services are easily accessible. Forest excursions start directly from the day care yard. As an early childhood education teacher, you will be responsible for your group's pedagogical documents as well as the planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of activities. In addition to the director, deputy director, colleagues, and future teammates, your work is supported by a comprehensive special education teacher for early childhood education and a language and culture teacher. In Espoo, early childhood education teachers are also offered mentoring and diverse training. A pedagogical team meets regularly in the unit, which you will participate in as a teacher. We emphasize a positive and development-oriented operational culture. A warm atmosphere, humor, community, equality, and appreciative encounters are important basic pillars of our daily work. We value diverse pedagogical activity in accordance with the early childhood education plan, based on child-specific ways of learning, especially through play. Diversity in our community is a resource and a source of joy for us.
