We are looking for a Quant Developer to help enhance our real-time pricing and risk management platform in Nordea Markets, supporting trading desks across asset classes with business-critical analytics and reporting. About our team Meet the Quant Applications team. Our role is to deliver real-time risk and profit and loss reports to the Nordea Markets trading desks for their intraday risk management across most asset classes. Our team of four Quant Developers is part of Markets Business Technology. We work closely with traders to translate business requirements into reports and applications, using financial models provided by Model Quants and data delivered by IT teams. We are located on the trading floow in Copenhagen, but we are now also expanding our presence ito Helsinki where other teams in Markets Business Technology are already present - we are looking for people in both cities. What you’ll be doing Main responsibilities in this role: Contribute to the development of our Kotlin-based library that contains the core business logic of our platform. Turn business requirements into solutions in close collaboration with both end users in trading and IT teams in technology. Provide second-line support for new and existing functionality when our support team needs assistance. Who you are This is the right role for you if you have a high level of drive, a strong sense of ownership, and a genuine interest in both software development and financial derivatives. Your background and skills include: An advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in finance, economics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, the natural sciences, or similar. Several years of experience working with pricing and risk of financial products. Self-driven and proactive, with a proven ability to independently turn business requirements into solutions. Strong understanding of software engineering and computer science fundamentals. It would be ideal if you also: Have experience using AI in software development. Are familiar with several of the tools we use: Kotlin, Python, IntelliJ, Copilot, Git, Jira, Bamboo, Kafka, Kubernetes.
